West Coast Fever coach Stacey Marinkovich is optimistic star goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler will recover in time to play in the Super Netball grand final.

Fowler injured her knee during the 63-57 semi-final win over the Giants in Sydney.

The Jamaican spent more than a quarter of the match on the bench receiving treatment but was able to play out the game.

Fowler was proppy when she returned to the court and has pulled up sore from the game.

But Marinkovich has her fingers crossed that scans won't reveal anything serious.

"She's pretty sore," Marinkovich said on Monday.

"The medical staff have been around and made sure she's icing up.

"It's good to have the week off because we've just got that measured approach now that we don't have to overload it.

"The fact she went out there and continued to play, I'd hope to think she's still available for two weeks' time."

Fowler was hampered by a knee niggle in the lead-up to the game.

"When you see the replay, it's just the landing that's pinched something," Marinkovich said.

"So it was just something that got aggravated in the game and didn't settle straight away."

The Fever's win on Saturday secured hosting rights for the grand final.

They will take on the winner of Sunday's preliminary final between the Giants and Sunshine Coast Lightning.

The Fever, formerly known as the Perth Orioles, had never even won a finals match before Saturday's victory.

Now, they are in the box seat to claim this year's title.

Fever players were greeted by dozens of fans at Perth Airport on Saturday night.

"That was really surprising, coming down the walkway and people screaming, and seeing mothers with their daughters at 11 o'clock at night," Marinkovich said.

"It made it even more special."
