Fewest rough sleepers in 4 years: SA govt

The South Australian government says the numbers of people sleeping rough in Adelaide's CBD is the lowest it has been since 2011.

The numbers of people sleeping rough in Adelaide's CBD is at a four-year low, the government says.

Sixty people currently sleep rough in the CBD, according to the latest government count in August.

This marks the fewest number of rough sleepers since May 2011, when 51 people slept on city streets and in parks.

But Communities and Social Inclusion Minister Zoe Bettison says she doesn't want to see anyone without a roof over their head.
