FIFA has fined Denmark's soccer federation $20,040 and given them a warning for fan misconduct during the team's 1-1 draw with Australia.
FIFA said in a statement that Danish supporters disrespected "pre-match protocol" ahead of their encounter with Australia's Socceroos, which requires fans to respect the national anthem of opposing countries before a game.
Denmark was also charged for fans displaying “a sexist banner” at the game in Samara.
The Danish Football Association could not immediately be reached for comment.
