Fifteen killed in crashes in three days

Fifteen people have been killed in vehicle accidents since Friday, prompting pleas from authorities to take care on the roads.

THE VEHICLE ACCIDENT TOLL FROM THREE DAYS

FRIDAY

- Motorcycle rider killed when struck by a car near entry to Melbourne's Eastern Freeway, Nunawading

- Man, 34, killed when he lost control in a single-vehicle crash at Boisdale, near Sale, in Victoria's east

- Two Taiwanese women, aged 25 and 27, killed in a two-car crash near St George, Queensland, when their car collided with a 4WD

- A man killed when a car burst into flames when it hit a tree near Wollongong at 2am

SATURDAY

- Two men, including a retired emergency department doctor aged 76, killed when a motorcycle and a car collided at Lane Cove, Sydney, at 1am

- Man, 21, killed when his car flipped and burst into flames during suspected street race in Pascoe Vale, Melbourne

- Teenage driver killed when thrown from his car after apparently losing control while speeding in Kurunjang, Victoria

- Man, 57, killed when his ute collided with a parked semi-trailer on private property at Tungkillo in the Adelaide Hills (not official toll)

- Man, 40, killed in a head-on collision on the Bruce Highway near Gympie

- Man killed when he was run over in the driveway of his Toowoomba home by an Uber driver

- Boy, 17, killed after his car collided with another on the Prince Highway south of Nowra, NSW

- Driver, 80, critically injured when her car collided with another car in Clearview, Adelaide

- Pedestrian seriously injured when hit by two cars at Kallangur, north of Brisbane

SUNDAY

- Man, 18, killed in a collision with a B-double truck on Sydney's M2 motorway at Seven Hills

- Tow truck driver killed in head-on crash with a road train in Western Australia's Mid West region.
