Fighting men fall into path of car in Qld

A roadside fight has ended in tragedy after two men tumbled into the path of a car on the Gold Coast.

One man is dead and another is seriously injured after they they got into a fight and tumbled into the path of a car at a Gold Coast intersection.

A 25-year-old man died at the scene. The other man, also 25, is in hospital with leg and pelvic injuries.

Police say the men were fighting when they fell into the path of a car at the intersection of Doubleview Dr and Attandale St at Elanora about 9pm on Sunday.

Earlier paramedics said the men may have been lying on the road.

Paramedic Gary Berkowitz said the driver, 33, was "very shook up" but wasn't phyically hurt.

The injured 25-year-old is being treated in the Gold Coast University Hospital as police investigations continue.
