Australian boxer Jeff Horn says fighting "absolute legend" Manny Pacquiao in his home town of Brisbane would be beyond a dream.

The 28-year-old was on Wednesday confirmed to fight the welterweight world champion, and told Fox Sports that the opportunity to fight Pacquiao at Suncorp Stadium would be massive.

"It would be beyond my dreams, I never thought I'd be fighting my first world title in Brisbane - at home," Horn told Fox Sports.

"It's going to be like an Origin match. It's going to be massive," he said.

The venue for the fight is yet to be confirmed - with Sydney, Melbourne, the US and UAE also said to be in the running - but Suncorp Stadium is believed to be the favoured option.

Horn, a former school teacher, is undefeated after 17 professional fights.

Although Pacquiao, 38, is already the heavy favourite to win the bout,0 Horn believes he has an edge on the fighter.

"I think he's underestimating my skill and I think that's going to be his downfall," Horn said.
