WORLD FINANCE UPDATE:
The Australian dollar is flat on mixed economic data.
At 0700 AEST on Friday, the local unit was trading at 72.24 US cents, unchanged from Thursday.
The Australian share market looks set to open higher after Wall Street closed in positive territory as fresh data gave a positive picture of the economy.
At 0645 AEST on Friday, the share price index was up 40 points at 5,319.
