Together they have played fewer one-day internationals than Mitchell Johnson.
But Australia's inexperienced attack have been tipped by Aaron Finch to again rise to the occasion after helping the hosts grab a 2-0 ODI series lead against India.
And just as well.
Cricket Australia have confirmed pace spearhead Josh Hazlewood will be rested for the remainder of the home international summer.
Hazlewood won't be sighted again to ensure he is fresh for next month's tour of New Zealand.
He played all six Tests this summer and the opening ODI against India in Perth before receiving a well earned rest ahead of Friday night's seven-wicket Gabba win.
CA decided to extend his break ahead of Sunday's third ODI in Melbourne.
It should sound alarm bells for Australia's green attack.
But Australian opener Finch backed them against an in-form India batting order led by the prolific Rohit Sharma (124) after witnessing their Gabba heroics.
Australia fronted in Brisbane with a bowling attack boasting a total of 130 games experience - well short of Johnson's 153.
And of that line-up, Scott Boland (two), Joel Paris (two) and Kane Richardson (nine) had just 13 games between them.
Yet the visitors lost 6-75 in the final 10 overs despite Sharma's back-to-back tons to be held to 8-308.
Thanks to George Bailey (76 not out) and a 145-run opening stand by Finch and Shaun Marsh (both 71), the hosts reeled in the target with six balls to spare - a new Gabba ODI run chase record.
It was the second straight game that Australia had conceded a 300-plus total - yet Finch backed their "short term pain, long term gain" approach with the ball.
"We found out before the game that our entire bowling attack had less games than Mitchell Johnson," Finch said.
"It's a real credit to the way the guys are applying themselves.
"They might not be getting the wickets at the moment but down the track we will see them get their rewards."
Left-arm quick Paris (1-40) and fellow rookie Boland (1-64) finally notched their maiden ODI wickets on Friday.
"For Paris and Boland in just their second game to be able to have an impact on a game was real exciting - it's about guys learning now," Finch said.
Due to Hazlewood's extended rest, allrounder John Hastings has been retained for the third ODI after filling in for the rested Mitch Marsh in Brisbane.
"Josh has played all six Tests this summer and has had a high workload," Australian coach Darren Lehmann said.
"On that basis the decision has been made to give him a break to allow him to recharge both physically and mentally ahead of the tour of New Zealand."
