Victorian batsmen Aaron Finch and Cameron White will get the chance to take out their frustration on New Zealand's bowlers after being named as late inclusions in the Cricket Australia XI.
The experienced pair on Tuesday both missed selection in the Bushrangers' squad for their Sheffield Shield opener against Queensland at the MCG starting on Wednesday.
Finch and White were added on Wednesday to the CA XI to face the Black Caps in a three-day match at Blacktown in Sydney starting on Thursday in their last warm-up game before the first Test against Australia at the Gabba.
They replace Sam Heazlett and Jake Carder in the squad.
"The CA XI squad was named before most states had finalised their playing XI for the first round of Sheffield Shield," CA general manager Pat Howard said.
"Once it became known Aaron and Cameron wouldn't be playing for Victoria in this Shield round, the opportunity presented to call two experienced players into the CA XI squad."
