Finger tip bitten off in Qld carpark fight

Queensland police are searching for a man who bit one man's finger off and assaulted another outside a fast food joint on the Sunshine Coast.

A man has had the tip of his finger bitten off in a violent assault in a carpark on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

A man began brawling with two men, 28 and 29, outside a fast food shop on Horton Parade in Maroochydore about 11.15pm (AEST) on Saturday.

He bit off the 29-year-old man's finger and then assaulted the other, injuring his face and hand, police say.

He then fled on foot.

The entrance of the business was also damaged.
