Fire at Sydney Entertainment Centre

Black plumes of smoke filled the city sky this afternoon, after plastic barricades in the car park of the Entertainment Centre were set alight.

The blaze started about 2pm, but firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished it within minutes, a Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman said.

The Daily Telegraph reports Monorail passengers were caught in the blaze.
