Fire at Vic school forces evacuation

About 200 staff and students have had to be evacuated from a school in northeast Victoria after a fire in two buildings.

A fire at a school in northeast Victoria has forced the evacuation of hundreds of staff and students.

A CFA spokesman says the fire started at St Mary's Primary School in Myrtleford on Monday afternoon and was limited to two of the school's buildings.

About 200 students and staff were evacuated, but none were injured.

The spokesman said 11 CFA crews from Myrtleford and nearby towns were working to bring the fire under control.

He said it was not clear how the fire started.
