A one-hectare bushfire has flared up and is out of control on the NSW south coast, prompting the Rural Fire Service (RFS) to issue and emergency warning.
The fire is burning around Maddens Road at Wandandian, south of Nowra, and was heading east just before 8pm (AEDT) Thursday.
The RFS advises people to seek shelter as the fire impacts.
Several other fires are burning nearby, but they are classified as "advice," the lowest level of alert, by the RFS.
Six emergency warnings have been issued for other dangerous fires in NSW, in the Blue Mountains, Wollongong, Newcastle and Muswellbrook.
