A bushfire threat in central NSW has eased but firefighters warn the blaze is still out of control.
The blaze had initially threatened properties at Wattle Flat, 37km north of Bathurst.
However, the RFS says it is getting the upper hand on the fire, which is spread over about 35 hectares.
A watch and act alert is in place for the grassfire, with the RFS warning present conditions mean fires are uncontrollable, unpredictable and fast-moving.
Water bombers and more than 70 firefighters are battling the blaze.
The RFS has also warned residents to look out for spot fires.
