Fireworks factory blast kills 10 in China

Investigators are working to determine the cause of a deadly fireworks explosion at a factory in central China.

An explosion at a fireworks factory in central China, just weeks before the country's new year celebrations, has killed 10 people and injured seven others.

The Tongxu county government in Henan province said the cause of Thursday's blast was not immediately clear and under investigation.

The country is less than a month away from Chinese New Year celebrations, when revellers set off fireworks.

China generally has a poor record in workplace safety, and there are frequent fireworks-related incidents at factories in the weeks before the holiday.
