First live beef shipment to China

Australia has sent its first live beef cattle shipment to China with 1200 slaughtering cattle, from Portland, Victoria arriving at Shidao port, Shandong.

Australia's first live beef cattle shipment to China has arrived.

The shipment of 1200 slaughtering cattle, from Portland, Victoria to Shidao port, Shandong, was made possible under the China-Australia free trade deal.

At the start of the year the export tariff dropped from 10 per cent to four per cent.
