It's not often NRL teams rejoice at the prospect of a five-day turnaround.
But then again, it's not often Des Hasler-coached teams are beaten 36-0.
Canterbury struggled through one of their flattest performances of the Hasler era on Saturday at Lottoland and were outplayed in almost every facet by Manly.
But Hasler is hopeful his team's frustrations might show against Brisbane at ANZ Stadium on Thursday night.
"Thursday can't come soon enough," he said.
"Our players know that. They're big experienced campaigners. They know that, they're aware of that and we need to turn it around quick smart.
"And that will be Thursday night."
Only three Bulldogs forwards ran more than 50 metres, while they became just the second side this year to fail to reach four-digits in the column as a team, according to Fox Sports Stats.
Aside from a period early in the first-half before the floodgates opened, they had hardly any ball on the Manly line and completed at less than 70 per cent.
It was the Bulldogs' third loss of the season but easily their most disappointing after losing to Melbourne and the Sydney Roosters in their opening two games.
"I think coming off the win against the Warriors and the performances against Storm and Roosters had a lot of positives in them," Hasler said.
"It's early in the season.
"You'd love to say sometimes you have those games. We were very flat - terribly flat."
Bulldogs captain James Graham also said he expected his team to take the brunt of their frustrations out on the Broncos.
"Thursday can't come quick enough," he said.
"I know it's a short turn around but I think it's a good thing given the situation that we're in."
