After taking a week off after being worn down by the incessant booing from opposing fans, Goodes has announced he will return to play this weekend.

A group of supporters - mainly consisting of students from the University of Melbourne and Indigenous groups - formed to call out a war cry and call for an end to racism in Australia.

Organiser of the flash mob Richard Franklin, of the Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development, said it was a message of hope they sent to Adam Goodes

"The true soul of Australia is about capacity building and making us all strong," he said.

Goodes has said he was humbled by the support he had received in the past week from his teammates and the broader AFL community.
