Australian-based travel group Flight Centre has continued expanding its destination network, acquiring a travel operator based in Canada's Quebec province.

Flight Centre has continued its expansion strategy, acquiring a travel operator based in Canada's Quebec province for an undisclosed sum.

The Brisbane-based travel group says acquiring Les Voyages Laurier du Vallon - one of Quebec's largest independent travel agencies, employing about 100 staff - will strengthen its presence in the predominantly French-speaking area where it has been under-represented.

The buy follows that a Mexican travel operator and Thailand-based hotel operator in July.
