Flight Centre has acquired the assets of India-based Travel Tours Group for an undisclosed sum, to strengthen its presence in the growing market.
Travel Tours Group has a strong leisure travel presence in key South India markets of Bengaluru and Chennai, and will complement Flight Centre's offerings in the country's north and west, Flight Centre managing director Graham Turner said.
The Indian travel group generated total transaction value of $150 million in FY16, while Flight Centre's business in the country reached $419 million.
