Food producers welcome TPP text

Food, beverage and grocery producers will benefit from a new Asia-Pacific trade agreement, says the industry peak body.

The Australian Food and Grocery Council on Friday welcomed the release of the text of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

"This regional trade agreement will further open up some of Australia's key export markets, particularly in the food, beverage and grocery sectors," council chief Gary Dawson said in a statement.
