Volunteers in the Baba Amr neighbourhood in Homs are salvaging food from empty stores and homes which have been hit by artillery.
They gather baby diapers, cracked wheat and lentils, but other basics such as bread and cooking oil have run out.
Local bread factories are shut despite yeast and salt being in supply.
