Force get prop back for Crusaders clash

The Western Force will be aiming to get back on the winners' list when they host the Crusaders in Friday night's clash at nib Stadium.

Western Force lock Ross Haylett-Petty has been ruled out of Friday night's Super Rugby clash with the Crusaders, but prop Francois van Wyk will make his return off the bench.

Haylett-Petty copped a heavy head knock in last week's 32-20 loss to the Highlanders.

His place in the starting side has been taken by Steve Mafi.

Van Wyk has been named on the bench for his first game this season after recovering from surgery to fix a dislocated wrist.

The Crusaders have snared four wins from five games this season, but the injury-hit Force are struggling with a 1-5 record including a torrid three-game road trip to New Zealand.

Western Force: Dane Haylett-Petty, Luke Morahan, Ben Tapuai, Solomoni Rasolea, Semisi Masirewa, Peter Grant, Alby Mathewson, Ben McCalman, Matt Hodgson (capt), Angus Cottrell, Adam Coleman, Sitiveni Mafi, Tetera Faulkner, Heath Tessmann, Pek Cowan. Res: Nathan Charles, Francois van Wyk, Jermaine Ainsley, Rory Walton, Richard Hardwick, Ryan Louwrens, Ian Prior, Albert Nikoro
