Forget champagne and victory parties, Novak Djokovic has a different celebration in mind should he win his seventh Australian Open title: climb a tree.
The world No.1 revealed he has found a unique way to celebrate his multiple title wins at Melbourne Park.
"I love the Botanical Gardens and I love nature and I love to spend time daily there if I can," Djokovic said at a sponsor's event in Melbourne on Wednesday.
"I have a friend there, a Brazilian fig tree, that I like to climb and I like to connect with so that's probably my favourite thing to do.
"Maybe that's not as fun as you would expect but I'm not big into parties ... hopefully you'll see me climbing a tree in a few weeks."
Djokovic returned to the top of the rankings tree in September thanks to a stunning back half of the year after falling as low as world No.22 in June.
He said being No.1 meant just as much as the first time he reached the pinnacle way back in 2011.
"It means a lot always and if I don't have any significant meaning to what I'm doing I wouldn't be doing it," Djokovic said.
"Especially at this stage of my life and career I've achieved enough to say it's enough, I don't need to do anything to make a living or whatever.
"As long as there's that flair in me I will keep on going."
Djokovic and Roger Federer are both gunning for their seventh Australian Open titles and both bring good form into the tournament.
Federer won the Hopman Cup in Perth while Djokovic, who bowed out in the Open fourth round last year, lost a tight semi-final in Doha.
