Mining magnate Andrew 'Twiggy' Forrest has vowed to create hundreds of jobs and training opportunities for indigenous youth in southeast Queensland.

Mr Forrest and not-for-profit group BoysTown CEO Tracy Adams will sign a new partnership agreement in Logan, south of Brisbane on Thursday.

They are agreeing to work closely together to give indigenous young people the skills to gain employment.

Ms Adams says the program will be conducted from the BoysTown Logan site and will directly link indigenous job seekers with GenerationOne's employment opportunities.

GenerationOne is a movement founded by Mr Forrest about three years ago to end indigenous disadvantage in Australia through employment.
