Matt Forte ran in three touchdowns as the New York Jets exacted revenge on their old head coach Rex Ryan by beating the Buffalo Bills 37-31.

Ryan, who led the Jets to back-to-back AFC Championship Games during his tenure with Gang Green, denied his former team a place in the play-offs last season when the Bills beat them in the final week.

However, in a game that was broadcast live for free across the world on Twitter, Forte rushed for three scores and Eric Decker hauled in a receiving touchdown along with 126 yards to give the Jets their first win over Buffalo in six attempts.

For their AFC East rivals the Bills, for whom Marquise Goodwin and ex-Jet Greg Salas had 84- and 71-yard touchdowns respectively, a 0-2 start ramps up the pressure on Ryan.
