Four injured in Melbourne hit and run

Police are appealing for witnesses to a hit and run that left two men in hospital with serious injuries.

An SUV has ploughed into four pedestrians and driven off in Melbourne.

Police say two men, aged 52 and 38, and two women, 57 and 28, were arguing with the male driver of a white SUV in St Albans on Friday night before he ran them down and sped off.

The two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries and the two women were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
