Four men to be sentenced over WA killing

Four West Australian men convicted of killing a man, dismembering his body and dumping him in a wheelie bin will face a sentencing hearing.

Four West Australian men convicted of bashing a man to death in his Goldfields home over a drug debt and then dismembering his body have been sentenced.

Steven Roberts, 50, and Stephen Gandy, 40, were found guilty of murdering 24-year-old Beau Davies in Kalgoorlie in February last year.

Jayden Kett, 26, and Christian Gomis, 31, were convicted of the lesser charge of manslaughter.

The Supreme Court of Western Australia heard Mr Davies was attacked at his home in South Kalgoorlie before being dismembered in the bathroom of Roberts' house in nearby Boulder and dumped in a wheelie bin.

Justice Michael Corboy sentenced Gomis and Kett on Friday to eight years in jail and they must serve a minimum of six years before being eligible for parole.

Roberts and Gandy were sentenced to life with a minimum term of 23 years.
