John Fox has landed the job as coach of the Chicago Bears, just days after departing NFL rivals Denver.
The Bears will formally introduce Fox as the 15th coach in club history at a press conference on Monday.
US media reported on Friday that Fox had agreed to a four-year deal as he comes in to replace Marc Trestman, who was sacked on December 29 after two seasons, including the Bears' 5-11 2014 campaign.
Fox and the Broncos parted ways on Monday, by what the club termed mutual consent.
The surprise move came a day after the Broncos fell to the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL playoffs and ended a stellar tenure in Denver for Fox.

He took the Broncos to the Super Bowl last season and had a regular-season record of 46-18 with four AFC West division titles.
Ryan Pace took over as general manager of the Bears last week and interviewed Fox on Wednesday.
Fox, who had arrived in Denver after a nine-year run with the Carolina Panthers, has a career record of 119-89 with six division titles and seven playoff appearances in 13 seasons as a coach.
