Fresh accusations against police in Doomadgee

More allegations have surfaced in the Queensland town of Doomadgee with locals claiming police may have conducted home searches illegally.

A local councillor says one such event resulted in a 17-year-old being strip searched.

Grayson Williams was at home with two others when he claims police barged into the house without presenting a warrant until after officers detained the three residents.

Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter mentioned the Doomadgee situation in parliament today and he is encouraging those with grievances to take it all the way.

"I would have no alternative to take it to the international courts because I'm not going to accept that I as a black person have an inferior position to a white person".

Despite community anger, to date no written complaint has been received by local police officers.
