Fresh raids linked to Brussels attacks

Police in Belgium have carried out a series of fresh raids linked to the terror attacks in Brussels, with nine people questioned.

Brussels prosecutors have confirmed police have carried out 13 new raids in various districts in and around the capital as part of investigations into bomb attacks that targeted the airport and a metro train, leaving at least 31 people dead.

In a statement on Sunday, the federal prosecutor's office said a total of nine people were questioned "in the context of a terrorism file".

Five were later released.

It said it could not give further details.
