Friends remember London terror victim Sara

Past and current students at the Queensland school attended by Australian terror victim Sara Zelenak have paid tribute in a special assembly.

Dozens of school friends of Sara Zelenak have gathered to remember the vibrant young woman who was killed in the London Bridge terror attack.

The 21-year-old Brisbane nanny was killed after becoming separated from friends during the attack on London Bridge and the nearby Borough Market late on Saturday night.

Past and current students and staff at Moreton Bay College, where Ms Zelenak had attended school, paid tribute during a special assembly on Thursday.

"This morning, the current secondary students came together for a special assembly where we gathered as a group to honour Sara's life," a statement posted to the school's Facebook page said.

"Approximately 40 old girls from Sara's year (2013) have also gathered at the college this morning to remember Sara and support each other.

"Floral tributes are mounting in the quadrangle and there is a definite feeling of love and support throughout the entire community."

The school said it would discuss the possibility of holding a memorial with Sara's family.

Ms Zelenak's mother, Julie Wallace, who has travelled to London, confirmed her death on Wednesday afternoon.

She was the second Australian fatality to be identified, after the family of South Australian nurse Kirsty Boden, 28, died while trying to help people wounded in the attack.
