A new documentary is following 10 Indigenous students from Uluru to the white sands of Bondi Beach, where they see the ocean for the first time.

'The Kids to Coast' project shows underprivileged children a world outside their own, hoping to expand their horizons.

The cultural exchange between the Mutujulu School and the Bondi Surf Club is run by 'The Foundation for Kids'. The program aims to get students more involved in class.

Ten students are picked for the trip based on top attendance, behaviour and performance in the classroom.
