Adelaide's players believe their sudden problems lie within, rather than being worked out by AFL rivals.
Crows forward Tom Lynch says there's some alarm at consecutive heavy losses, but the issues are of Adelaide's making.
"It's one way to know how to beat us but then it's another way to do it," Lynch told reporters on Monday.
"And every other team is exactly the same.
"We haven't been able to get it done the last two weeks and that is from a number of reasons, not just the opposition."
Adelaide retain top spot on the ladder despite the defeats, a 10-goal loss to North followed by Saturday night's shock 41-point home loss to Melbourne.
"I'm not saying that they have figured us out or worked out how to beat us," Lynch said.
"Every team obviously has a plan going into the game.
"But they played extremely well on the weekend and we played extremely poor, so you can summarise that however you like."
After a six-game winning streak to open the season, Lynch said Adelaide's problems were obvious in the successive losses.
"You look at our contests the last couple of weeks, in all areas of the game, just hasn't been at the level that we have set ourselves in the first six weeks," he said.
"And probably over the last couple of years as well, it has been a real benchmark of ours.
"And the last two weeks especially we haven't been able to dish up on our high expectations."
Adelaide's losses have also coincided with star midfielder Rory Sloane being heavily tagged in a tactic certain to be copied - he had just 11 disposals in the defeat to Melbourne.
"Certainly as a whole team we can help out more if he's getting that close tag," Lynch said.
"It's pretty simple ... we have got stop him getting bashed all the time.
"And we have got to put some blocks on for him and help him for the whole 120 minutes because he's a key part of our team."
