Funding boost for domestic legal support

New specialist domestic violence units will be established as part of a multi-million dollar package unveiled by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

Legal services for domestic violence victims will get a $15 million boost.

The funding is part of a $100 million package unveiled by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in Melbourne on Thursday.

The money will help establish 12 new specialist domestic violence units in areas with high reported rates of abuse, Attorney-General George Brandis said in a statement.
