Funding restored to SA Islamic school

The Islamic College of South Australia has had its federal funding restored but its state funding remains frozen.

The federal government has reinstated funding to the Islamic College for South Australia but the state government is yet to follow suit.

Federal Education Minister Simon Birmingham says the school has taken action to address concerns about its financial management and governance.

But the state government has refused to reinstate funding, saying it is awaiting a response from the college to issues raised in a review.
