A mother and her young daughter, killed in a homicide-suicide just over a week ago, will be farewelled on Thursday at a funeral on the Gold Coast.
Five-year-old Kyla Rogers was found dead alongside her father, Paul Rogers, in a car near Casino in northern NSW on the night of May 16.
Her mother, Tania Simpson, and family friend Anthony Way had been found dead in a unit at Robina on the Gold Coast at about 8am (AEST) the same day.
Police believe Rogers stabbed Mr Way and Ms Simpson to death before abducting Kyla and taking her to NSW, where they died together from carbon monoxide poisoning in his car.
Kyla's toddler brother, who escaped the tragedy, was staying with his grandparents.
