Funeral to be held for NSW shooting victim

A funeral for veteran police accountant Curtis Cheng who was fatally shot last Friday will be held at Sydney's St Mary's Cathedral on October 17.

Parramatta shooting victim Curtis Cheng will be farewelled by his friends and family at a funeral at Sydney's St Mary's Cathedral.

The veteran police accountant was gunned down in front of police headquarters by 15-year-old Farhad Khalil Mohammad Jabar as he left work ahead of the long weekend last Friday.

Mr Cheng's funeral will be held at 10am on October 17.
