Fremantle midfielder Nat Fyfe will canvass offers from other AFL clubs when his contract expires but says his first preference is to stay at the Dockers.
The injured 24-year-old is off contract at the end of 2017 and no doubt will attract big money if he decides to head to the open market.
Speaking in Perth, Fyfe told the Seven Network on Wednesday he intended to look at offers from other clubs but wanted to remain with the Dockers as long as they were improving.
"Free agency is that players have a say in their careers and it would be remiss of me not to look at every possible option," he said.
"But if I see a strong future at Fremantle, then that's where I will be playing my footy."

It's been a spectacular fall from the grace for Fremantle, who sit third last after being minor premiers in 2015 and making it to within one game of the grand final.
Fyfe, last year's Brownlow Medal winner, has spent most of this season on the sidelines after breaking his leg in round five.
He is hoping to be up and running for the start of the club's pre-season in October.
