Oxfam Australia says the issue of tax avoidance by multinational companies should be a key priority at this weekend's G20 meeting in Sydney.

Oxfam Australia says the issue of tax avoidance by multinational companies should be a key priority at this weekend's G20 meeting in Sydney.

 

Oxfam Australia Chief Executive Dr Helen Szoke says billions of dollars are lost each year in tax loopholes.

 

She told Peggy Giakoumelos, if more tax were paid by large companies, the money could be used to lift people out of poverty in developing countries.
