Awkward silence
Prime Minister Tony Abbott is no stranger to political gaffes. In 2011, a video surfaced that appeared to depict the prime minister saying "shit happens" to a group of soldiers following the death of Lance Corporal Jared MacKinney in Afghanistan.
When asked a question about the alleged comments in a television interview, Mr Abbott answered with 28 seconds of silence, to which the reporter responded "you're not saying anything, Tony."
