World track champion Fernando Gaviria has edged out Australia's Caleb Ewan to win the third stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico race in Italy.
The Colombian, who claimed a second successive victory in the omnium at the track cycling world championships on Sunday, beat Orica's Caleb Ewan in a bunch sprint.
Elia Viviani was third, just ahead of world champion Peter Sagan, at the end of the 176km ride from Castelnuovo Val di Cecina to Montalto di Castro.
It was a second successive victory at the Tirreno-Adriatico for Etixx-Quick-Step after Zdenek Stybar's win on Thursday.
Stybar remains top of the overall standings, nine seconds ahead of Damiano Caruso and Daniel Oss, who took the leader's blue jersey after BMC Racing won the opening team trial stage on Wednesday.
