The play is a satire of the crisis which creator and business journalist, David Shirreff, believes is slowly turning to farce.
“When you report about this stuff week in week out as I do, you wonder why . . . these people deserve to be treated seriously. You can see what they should be doing and they're not doing it,” Shirreff says.
The Euro sceptical tone of the play has been well received by the German audience, despite being the butt of most of the jokes.
