A popular haunted house in the US state of Missouri may soon be in the Guinness book of world records, thanks to a new slithering addition.

Medusa is a seven-year-old reticulated python, she's nearly eight metres long and weighs over 130 kilos.

The giant python is part of the act at the haunted house, and next month its record-breaking size is expected to be made official by the Guinness book of world records.
