Giants' Barr cops one-game AFLW ban

The AFL tribunal has found GWS midfielder Nicola Barr guilty of rough conduct for her bump on North Melbourne's Ashleigh Riddell.

GWS midfielder Nicola Barr has been slapped with a one-game ban by the AFL tribunal after she was found guilty of rough conduct against North Melbourne's Ashleigh Riddell.

Barr was referred directly to the tribunal for contact off the ball during Friday night's storm-affected game at Sydney's Drummoyne Oval.

The former No.1 draft pick will miss the Giants' round three clash against Carlton at Blacktown International Sportspark.

The 22-year-old also accepted a reprimand after a second rough conduct charge against Daisy Bateman.

Fremantle's Gabby O'Sullivan and Brisbane's Arianna Clarke accepted one-match suspensions for striking and rough conduct respectively.

North Melbourne pair Kaitlyn Ashmore and Tahlia Randall escaped with reprimands for their rough conduct charges and the same applied to Carlton's Sarah Hosking and Paige Parker from Brisbane.
