Greater Western Sydney coach Leon Cameron is hoping star midfielder Adam Treloar will stick with the club after they produced a record breaking effort and a stunning 170-point turnaround in a week.
The Giants kicked 15 goals to three after halftime to canter to a 81-point home win over a vastly understrength Carlton at Spotless Stadium, in front of incoming Blues head coach Brendon Bolton.
"He's pretty keen for me to coach out the season although I wouldn't have minded if he had have taken over at some stage," quipped interim Blues coach John Barker.
Carlton had 19 players unavailable and the lack of depth was ruthlessly exposed in the second half.
Jeremy Cameron kicked seven goals, all after halftime, to swell his tally for the year to 61 as the Giants romped to a 20.12 (132) to 7.9 (51) victory.
It was the Giants 11th victory of the season and their biggest ever winning margin, eclipsing their previous best of 78 set against Carlton in Melbourne earlier in the season.
Flogged by 89 points by Sydney last week, GWS kicked a club record 20 goals and finished three points shy of their biggest ever score, also achieved in the early season blowout of the Blues.
"They are a proud bunch, they were disappointed last week like we should have been," Leon Cameron said.
Treloar, who is being widely tipped to leave GWS, kicked three goals and tallied 27 touches.
Cameron said Treloar loved the club and had a big decision to make but disputed the midfielder was definitely leaving.
"We're confident we're still right in the picture," Cameron said.
"When he performs like that, you clearly see his heart is in the right spot and that's at our footy club."
Jeremy Cameron, who didn't tally a single touch in the first quarter, kicked 7.3 and pulled down 12 marks, while defender Heath Shaw produced another strong display.
Forward Cameron is just one goal short of his club record of 62 set in his 2013 All-Australian season.
Carlton competed well in a scrappy first half, leading by 11 points after kicking the first two goals of the game.
They trailed by just five at halftime, but the Giants slammed on eight goals to one in the third quarter and seven to two in the last.
Rising Star contender Patrick Crimps accumulated a team-high 29 touches for the Blues, who didn't have anyone who scored more than one goal.
The Giants lost Ryan Griffen to a knee injury in the third quarter, but Cameron said it wasn't serious.
Griffen and Tom Bell were both reported for wrestling each other.
