GWS have welcomed back returning ruckman Shane Mumford and star midfielder Josh Kelly, but a calf injury has denied Brett Deledio the chance to take on former side Richmond on Saturday.
The Giants made three changes for the home AFL clash against the reigning premiers, with former Docker Tommy Sheridan to also make his club debut.
Mumford will play his first senior match in 18 months, having been coaxed out of retirement and then made to serve a two-game ban after video footage emerged of him snorting a white powder back in 2015.
"It's a huge achievement, firstly, to come out of retirement," said Giants coach Leon Cameron.
"We're not expecting miracles, we expect him to come in and play his role.
"We know he has a huge motor, he plays the ruck role well, he can get around the ground and play as an extra onballer when the ball hits the ground.
"I think everyone is looking to see how he progresses in his first game back."
Kelly has overcome off-season hip and knee surgeries.
Richmond have turned to youth after losing star forward Jack Riewoldt to a wrist injury and defender Dylan Grimes to suspension.
Young talls Ryan Garthwaite and Noah Balta have been included, while the Tigers have also handed a senior debut to exciting forward Sydney Stack.
Collingwood have dropped experienced midfielder Travis Varcoe for Saturday's AFL grand final rematch against West Coast, with his place going to Taylor Adams.
