Julia Gillard has announced her reshuffled frontbench, following the sacking of some of the most senior ministers in the Labor government last week.
The Prime Minister said she was "appalled" by last week's fizzled leadership spill, and was confident her colleagues now supported her.
One of her first moves was to announce the promotion of Anthony Albanese, who will take on Simon Crean's vacated Regional Ministry.
The move comes despite Mr Albanese being named as a potential deputy under a Kevin Rudd leadership if the spill went ahead.
Justice Minister Jason Clare was also elevated to a full cabinet member while retaining his existing portfolios.
