Gillard, Clinton to tackle gender bias

Julia Gillard and Hillary Clinton, two of the most prominent women politicians in recent years, are to collaborate on addressing the bias against women leaders.

Julia Gillard, who has accused her political opponents of gender bias, plans to collaborate with Hillary Clinton to encourage more women to stand for public office.

The former prime minister says she and the former US presidential candidate have shared their views and are determined to change the perception of women leaders.

"I'm hopeful there are some things we can do together in the future on these questions of leadership and gender, bringing to that possibility some of our shared experiences," Ms Gillard told Fairfax Media.
