Former Test bowler Jason Gillespie has confirmed he won't be taking up a position with Cricket Australia to remain with English county side Yorkshire.
Gillespie met up with Australia coach Darren Lehman this week in the UK but the 41-year-old said he turned down the chance to apply for a job and was upset his name had been linked with a bowling mentor role by his former South Australian teammate last week.
"I informed him I wouldn't be applying for a role so we can end the speculation," Gillespie told BBC Radio Leeds.
"I was not offered a job and I have made it very clear that I would not be applying for any role with Cricket Australia.
"Darren had mentioned on radio in Australia that he'd be keen to get me back into the system over there.

"I was always going to catch up with Darren when he was over here because he's one of my best mates but I got stuck into him a bit because he didn't need to mention my name on the radio."
Gillespie is regarded as one the best young coaches in the world and was hotly-fancied to take over the England role last year only to be pipped by Trevor Bayliss.
He has revitalised Yorkshire who have lost just four of their 69 County matches since his arrival in 2011, guiding the club to back-to-back titles in addition to being a key figure in the advancement of England stars Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow.
However, Gillespie and his family are very settled in the north of England and he's reluctant to be away from home for long periods of time.
"It's well known I have a young family and the consideration is do I want to be away from home for 250-plus nights a year?," he said.
"At this point in my life I am not prepared to be away from my family for that kind of time," he said.
"I'm a young coach and I have a lot to learn."
